Who I am and What I Stand For

I am dedicated to protecting Benton County’s natural beauty and strengthening our neighborly bonds. As a career public servant (US Navy, Administrative Law Judge), I lead with transparency, honesty, respect and positivity, committed to finding positive solutions to enhance Benton County.

A Foundation of Service and Unwavering Honesty

My journey in public service began with a call to patriotic duty and adventure.  I attended the University of Colorado, Boulder, as a Navy ROTC scholarship recipient and from there served as a surface warfare officer aboard the USS Mount Hood, stationed in the San Francisco Bay Area. There, I learned that leadership requires integrity. This "North Star" guided me through the rigors of law school and a post-JD master's degree at the Tulane School of Law. Whether serving in uniform or representing clients in civil litigation, I have always believed that the truth is the only firm ground upon which justice can be built.

Professional Depth and the Value of Transparency

With six years of private practice in civil litigation, followed by a dedicated career in the public sector, I have seen the legal system from every angle. My time as an attorney for the California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation and, more importantly, my tenure as an Administrative Law Judge for the Office of Administrative Hearings, taught me that transparency is the bedrock of public trust. As your Justice of the Peace, I will bring a judge’s analytical perspective to the Quorum Court, ensuring that every decision made regarding our county’s budget and ordinances is clear, accessible, and conducted in the light of day. I believe that the people of Benton County deserve to see exactly how their government works and why decisions are made.

Proven Commitment and Deep Respect for Benton County

My dedication to this country and this community is personal. Having stayed affiliated with the Navy in the reserves,I was mobilized to the Middle East for Operation Enduring Freedom in 2012. Moving to Arkanasas for my wife’s Walmart career opportunity in 2020, I brought that same mission-driven focus to Northwest Arkansas in founding the region's only Navy ROTC program in 2021. This gratifying work was fueled by a profound respect for the next generation of leaders and for the unique, vibrant community we call home. I am running for Justice of the Peace in 2026 because I respect the traditions of Benton County and possess the professional leadership and legal experience necessary to protect its future with transparency and honor.

Why I’m Running as an Independent

I am choosing to run as an Independent because the work of a Justice of the Peace is about results, not rhetoric. Whether we are balancing the county’s multi-million dollar budget, ensuring our roads and bridges can keep up with our rapid growth, or supporting our local law enforcement, these responsibilities require a level of objective analysis that transcends the traditional Republican or Democratic rubric. In the Quorum Court, there is no "conservative" way to pave a road or "liberal" way to manage a line-item budget; there is only the right way for the taxpayers of Benton County. By running without a party label, I am committing to a decision-making process rooted in logic and fiscal responsibility rather than party platforms, ensuring that every policy is weighed solely on its merit and its benefit to our community.

I also truly believe our neighbors are tired of the "political corner" mentality that has stalled progress at every level of government. We are living in an era of extreme polarization where it’s easier to retreat into partisan camps than it is to sit down over a beer or coffee and solve a problem. I am running to break that cycle in our corner of the world. As an Independent, my goal is to serve as a bridge-builder—someone who is free to listen to all sides, find common ground, and collaborate on positive solutions that actually move us forward. It is time we stop viewing every local issue through a national partisan lens and start working together to keep Benton County the best place in Arkansas to live, work, and raise a family.
